With y-volunteer, young people aged 16 to 25 volunteer some of their time to help others, doing what they enjoy. Through the scheme they can get involved in local issues they care about and at the same time gaining experience, confidence and skills. Volunteers can be involved in projects such as sports coaching, environmental issues, youth leadership, music and dance. It is also possible for volunteers to create their own project. No previous skills needed, just an urge to get involved.
